Welcome Madi McCullough to the Team!

Madi McCullough is a recent University of Michigan graduate returning to the Health Department of Northwest Michigan in a new capacity as staff to the Northern Michigan Community Health Innovation Region. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in biopsychology, gender & health, and community action & social change from University of Michigan in 2016, Madi joined the Health Department of Northwest Michigan as a Community Health Coordinator. In this position, she collaborated with stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate health promotion programs across Northern Michigan, supporting regional efforts to improve nutrition education and access, prevent skin cancer, promote sexual health, and enhance local greenspaces to increase physical activity. In 2017, she returned to University of Michigan to pursue Master’s degrees in Public Health and Social Work, and graduated in December 2019. Madi is passionate about advancing health equity through cross-sector collaboration and improving health across individual, family, organization, and community levels. As a Petoskey native, she cares deeply for Northern Michigan and is excited to support community partners across the region as a NMCHIR Regional Community Coordinator based in Traverse City.
